Enlightening and truthful, 2008-03-09 I've got LOTS of packs of tarot and oracle cards but these are the ones i use all the time. The pictures are simple but powerful and the book is thought provoking and so often completely right in that 'did i want to know that? yes i did!' sort of way of a good divination tool.
i think Ms Tenzin Dolma's decision to root the cards in the real landscape of the Glastonbury area and use real people for her pictures makes this set of cards more real than some of the more 'esoteric' packs you can buy.
For everyday advice, feedback and checking ahead i would always recommend these cards! Some re publish them for goodness' sake!!!

A very important book about Chinese meditation, 1997-11-05 An excellent introduction to the various meditation techniques used by Buddhists and Taoist. A very important message regarding meditation is that the quality of one's meditation is directly proportional to one's virtue. Cultivate virtue and your meditation will be successful.
The chapters on Zen and Pure Land meditation techniques are highly recommended. Patriarch Hsu Yun's discourse on using the "hua tou", or koan, is extremely valuable.

The Healing Power of Light, 2007-10-07 Without the heat, energy, and light of the sun, all of what we take for granted (including our own lives) wouldn't exist. To think, that we owe everything to a very average, small star so very far away. It's almost beyond comprehension how something like the sun shining on our face or seeing a blue sky could represent something so very huge, so absolutely significant.
The Healing Power of Light looks at the life giving powers of the light and then expands to the healing qualities and potential usages for light. It is a truly amazing journey. The initial portion of this book looks at the history, mythology, and science of light. The sections that explore past views on light were especially interesting.
The later portion of this book looks at the healing properties of light. It is an impressive list of techniques, technologies, and potential uses: x-rays, lasers, chemotherapy, the production of vitamin D, light therapy for SAD patients, photon therapy, energy healing, etc. It was extremely interesting and thought provoking reading. I really respected that the author talked about wide range of healing techniques from those we've come to trust to those that are not yet widely recognized. If someone would have told us a century ago that we could use light to see to the bones of a human body or to undertake delicate surgery, we would have thought them absolutely mad.

a useful and fascinating book, 2003-06-02 This is a brilliant book on basic psychic protection techniques. There are several meditations and visualisations to protect yourself from all different situations (including psychic attack) and a chapter on tie-cutting. There is also a useful section on crystals, flower remedies and aromatherapy oils. It explains the aura and the different subtle bodies and levels of being, ideal for someone beginning healing or other spiritual work and raising their vibrations for the first time.

Sun of gOd - How brilliant!, 2009-06-07 Sun of gOd by Gregory Sams is a true revelation! A revelation to us humans, most of whom amble through life ignoring small things like - the Sun! (Notice the capital letter?!) You may think `A whole book on the Sun?' Yes! Gregory somehow manages to encapsulate the All of Life, The Universe and everything!
*His book begins with the chapter "Recalling the forgotten", an examination of what happened to a time when the Sun was central to our life. It also reminds us that the Sun continues to radiate, no matter what good or bad we are up to. He then takes us to `where Time began', hydrogen and helium hanging around independently in the vast blackness of Space. It was their merging that apparently began the incredible chain of events that created our star the Sun, the Solar System and within that the stunningly beautiful and abundant Planet Earth.
*Do not be put off by any scientific notions that rear up in the book. Indeed, Gregory has presented science, the basic stuff of life, in such an easy palatable form it leaves even non science friendly readers yearning for more!
*Another pleasure given by reading this powerful work is that one learns. There are teachings at every turn! I found myself going `Oh yeah' in my head many times. Greg pointed out the obvious to me even though I hadn't thought to look.
*Natural events are happening around us all the time and Gregory, through many examples takes us on a journey through these natural occurrences making us see so clearly the `self organising consciousness that underlies everything'. He ponders for a few pages on the marvels of the corona. Despite its `riddles and mysteries' we still feel a deeper understanding after reading about its magnificent 2-3 million km span. This type of writing is normally out of reach for the ordinary reader, yet somehow Gregory makes it interesting!
*Organised religions are also examined. His spectral investigation of humans' `need' to worship and the "lo'ing and beholding" that overcame us with the revealed Abrahamic religions is startling, provocative but also - plain common sense. Gregory's first book Uncommon Sense's theme is also extrapolated here - the apparent self-organisation of chaos. This connects of course to how humans have, though our sheer numbers had to manipulate nature. He manages to tie in both Earth and Space in a seamless journey of wonder.
*The chapter on light is captivating and even the "Afterwords" make up an eight chapter mini-book within a book.
*There is truly so much to savour that the only thing to do when you have finished reading it, is to begin it again.
