Interplay UK
- Allows children to see inside the amazing world of ants
- Children are encouraged to find the Ants themselves, however they can also be ordered from Interplay
- Spare parts can be ordered so product can be used again and again
- Promotes the development in National Curriculum Science
- Life Processes and Living Things Key Stages One and Two through the use of Teachers Notes
Ant World, 2010-05-09 Excellent fun. Purchased for my 6 year old. We both enjoyed trying to catch enough ants (harder than you think!) We ended up leaving the magnifying box outside for a few days so the ants would get used to it. Then added some fruit and caught between 10-15 ants which seemed just enough. Fascinating watching how they behave and the tunnels they make. My daughter enjoys seeing what they have been up to each day (as do I). Hours of fun especially for those who like bugs.

Interplay UK
- Extract and blend your own secret formula heavenly scents!
- Then experiment to grow Scented Crystals, gross out Mum with Sublime Burp Slime and much more!
- Supports the National Curriculum Science levels 2.1.2a,2.1.2c,2.1.2l
- Promotes the practical knowledge behind measuring, mixing, extracting, separating, and filtering
Great for budding scientists!, 2010-01-11 I bought this for my 8 year old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. It gives very clear instructions for creating perfumes, slime and gel pourri we've had a lot of fun with this over Christmas. The terminology is all based on the national curriculum but it doesn't feel like it's educational, even though you are extracting, measuring, filtering etc. I think this is well worth the money and a lot of fun.

- Trust the Natural History Museum to devise the most efficient, most want-able pocket microscope.
- For all that it measures just 5.1 x 4.1 x 2.8cm,
- Its got 20x 40x zoom magnification with touch-button ultra-bright LED illuminator.
- Adjust focus wheel for stunning clarity and inspect flakes of skin and the like in incredible detail.
- Comes with slides, cover slips and lens cloth
Discover the microscopic world for under a tenner, 2010-03-30 This pocket microscope is pretty neat. It features a single-turret 20x-40x zoom construction with a focusing wheel, and is very straightforward to use.
While it doesn't have the power of a full-featured microscope, you can plonk it on just about any surface you'd like to investigate.
That opens up a whole world of possibilities that won't fit on a normal microscope stage. It also has a removable base with a slide holder for conventional use, and a built-in battery-operated light.
You could easily take it on field trips for a first look at your samples. It's robust, light, simple and pocket-sized.
A great gadget for big kids and little 'uns.

Giant Space Hopper, 2010-02-05 Giant Space Hopper
My Kids voted this the best toy they got for Christmas, I could have saved myself a fortune because all the other games are just on the shelves in their room, but the Giant Space Hoppers are still in every day use! I would recommend these 'hoppers' to anyone of any age (teenagers suddenly become happy again, lifting them out of their depressions)

Insect Lore
- grow your own butterfly's
- send off for caterpillars
    ideal teaching resource, 2010-05-19
I bought this item so that my class of 6/7 year olds could see first hand the life cycle of a butterfly. I rate this 100% effective, the children were so excited when each stage was reached. We releassed the butterfliles and I am glad to say that all 5 reached maturity. We released them in our school field, watched by the reception and year 1 classes. My next class said they can't wait until it is their turn. I will be buying catterpillars every year now!
